Kenya Seminar Request Policy & Form

This is the form that must be completed by a Kenyan representative to fund seminars. The policy for acceptance of the proposal is included in this form.

Kenya Seminar Funding Policy

The following policy governs requests for seminar funding within Kenya for Broken and Mended–affiliated seminars.

Decision-Making Authority

All seminar funding requests are reviewed and approved in Kenya by Peter Otieno and a three-person Kenyan committee. This committee, together with the Komarock Church of Christ, provides local oversight for accountability and discipline should seminar funds be misused.

Advance Request Requirement

All funding requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the scheduled seminar date. Requests submitted fewer than 30 days in advance will not be approved.

Disbursement of Funds

  • If a seminar is approved, seminar funds will be disbursed through the Komarock Church of Christ.
  • Travel funds for the seminar leader may be sent directly to the seminar leader, but only one seminar at a time may be funded in this manner.

Documentation and Accountability

Following the seminar, the seminar leader must provide verification that the seminar was conducted as approved. This includes:

  • Clear photos showing the seminar taking place at the approved location
  • A brief written description of the seminar and its outcomes

Failure to provide this documentation may affect approval of future seminar requests.

Please enter the date the seminar will be conducted. The date must be at least thirty days before Broken and Mended has received this form.
Where will the seminar be held (include city/region)? Please also indicate the estimated number of groups that will be served through the seminar.
Please indicate the total requested budget for this seminar.
Who will be conducting the seminar?
Travel funds will be granted to the person conducting the seminar if he/she lives in a different city or region than where the seminar is being held. The host(s) are not eligible for travel funds.
Did the Kenyan seminar committee approve this seminar? If not, who authorized this request?
